Macbook Pro HD upgrade

I wanted to upgrade the hard drive in my mbp as I was running into the limit on my free space. I started thinking that it was time to purchase a new laptop, but realized that the cost of a hard drive upgrade would be so low that it would best just to upgrade the drive, and save some more money for another laptop in the future.
I wanted to get at least 200gb for the laptop as the system was only running a 80gb drive ( I know sad right ?). As I started looking at the cost of drives I noticed something.
- 120gb sata 2.5" drive = $70
- 160gb sata 2.5" drive = $80
- 250gb sata 2.5" drive = $100
- 320gb sata 2.5" drive = $140
- 500gb usb 3.5" external drive = $100
- 320gb usb 2.5" external drive = $110
I ended up running to the store and picking up an external 2.5" usb western digital passport drive. I opened that puppy up and then got to opening my macbook pro up.
Opened the puppy up (its a little dirty, I use a case though )
I took the old drive out and added it to the enclosure that the western digital hard drive came with so now I am up to 320gb of space on the hard drive in the mbp and I have an external 80 gb hard drive that I can use to sneakernet. files.
Seems to work well now. I installed Leopard and got the new version of ProTools to play well. Now I can actually edit video and not have to format the machine each time.
